SportCourt Defense System

The client required a replacement sports floor as the existing Junckers press dried beech system had developed dead spots and had adversely affected ball response. The humidity levels within the building were extremely high for prolonged periods so a replacement timber floor was deemed unsuitable. SportCourt Defense however provided the client with complete peace of mind as it is inert to humidity extremes. If there is flooding or leaks the floor will not be damaged. SportCourt is a suspended surface, certified to EN 14904 standard and approved for championship use by FIBA (basketball authority), Badminton Federation and several other leading sports authoritys. The floor is now also used successfully for multi-purpose activities including indoor bowls.
The pictures show removal of the Junckers floor (subsequently re-used in a sports facility in Wicklow, see ‘Kiltegan Hall’ project reference) and replacement with SportCourt Defense.
